I was recently asked a few questions for a press release, and I wanted to share my answers below. It gave me some great time to reflect on where I am going in life. Hope you enjoy.
1. What is your overarching passion – and how does it show up in your life – at home, in your work?
I am passionate about co-creating a context where people come alive with their authenticity. I am passionate about people experiencing a life full of meaning and connection. I am passionate about all people having the space to live each moment with the clarity to be themselves and to follow their unique direction. I am passionate about really connecting with people and making a difference in the lives of others. I recently dedicated my life to this passion when I came to work for The Center for Intentional Leadership. I want to spend my days working both with people and organizations to help them align their passion, potential and unique strengths. And I particularly have a strong interest in working with young people. Outside of work I continue this personal mission by volunteering my time and energy to support my community. I love to support organizations that build human connection and provide resources that get people closer to their most authentic self. I really take care of my yellow labrador Brooks too. And the closeness of my relationship with family and friends is very important to me.
2. How would you describe the people that you identify with in terms of age, connectedness, professional aspirations, common themes?
I really connect with anyone who loves people, lives authentically and wants to make a difference. I really enjoy being around active people that love to learn new things and be outside. I really identify with people that like to share food too!
3. How do you define success?
Success for me is knowing that wherever I go, I always leave that place better than I found it. Success is feeling centered with my work, my health and my family. Success is knowing that by just being myself, I am making a difference in the lives of others. Success is using my strengths to have a sense of freedom with everything I do.
4. How do you define leadership?
Being an example, knowing yourself, living with purpose, being vulnerable, dreaming big and loving people.
5. What do you see as possible for yourself and others?
I really see endless possibility for myself and others. That is what excites me most about this world and where I am going. With purpose and intention comes transformational change in our world.
Have a great week.
